Junction Police Release Update on Juvenile Struck by Car

From the Grand Junction Police Department:

On 10/08/24, at approximately 3:40 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash at N 7th Street and Elm Avenue. A vehicle driving northbound on N 7th Street struck a 14-year-old juvenile crossing the roadway in a crosswalk. The juvenile was transported by the Grand Junction Fire Department to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver in this crash was charged with Careless Driving Resulting in Injury. There is no additional information available at this time.

Junction Police are asking drivers to slow down and use caution when driving.
