A commercial plaza stretching from 3rd Street to 4th Street on North Avenue caught fire around 2:45am early July 4th. The fire appeared to have originated from the MTS Staffing business, and remained contained to that single business. Responders made entry to the businesses attached to MTS Staffing on both sides, reporting only smoke damage. North Avenue was closed in both directions during the incident. A fire investigator was called to the scene, with an additional concern from responders that door glass might have been broken prior to the fire starting, but is unknown. Fire crews remained on scene till around 6am, with police and fire investigators remaining longer.
