Canyon View Shooting Update: Three Arrested for Aggravated Robbery

From the Grand Junction Police Department:

On August 16, 2024, at approximately 02:05 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to Canyon View Park, 730 24 Road, for a possible shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered the victims were robbed at gunpoint, with a shot being fired in their direction. There were no injuries. Officers were able to locate a suspect vehicle and two adults and a juvenile.

Kollin Weems, 19, was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Robbery
  • Harassment
  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Felony Menacing
  • Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor

Anjalicia Vallejos, 20, was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Robbery
  • Harassment
  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Felony Menacing
  • Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor
  • Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I/II

The juvenile, 16, was arrested and is in the custody of the Department of Youth Corrections on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Robbery
  • Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I/II

This is an ongoing investigation and there is no further information at this time.
