Pedestrian around 50 years old struck by vehicle at the intersection of N 12th St & North Avenue. CPR was started by first responders. Victim died at the scene. Both 12th St and North Ave were closed down.

A vehicle was turning east when it struck a pedestrian. Life saving measures were attempted but the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and died on scene. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of the decedent after appropriate notifications have been made. The intersection will be closed for several hours as first responders remain on scene. Please find a different route of travel. This crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available at this time.
