At 9:49 pm, Thursday night, the Mesa County Sheriffโ€™s Office responded toย the Stop N Save 3223 F Road forย a report of a stabbing.ย ย The store clerk reported a male victim had entered the store and appeared to have been violently assaulted and stabbed. Minutes later, a citizen in the 600 block of Country Court called 911, stating that a female had shown up at her home and had also been stabbed and assaulted.

Deputies were able to speak with the Mother, who reported her son, identified as 40-year-old Scott Lorman, was acting very erratically and had assaulted both her and her husband. Lorman had forced them from their home in the 600 block of Saddle Rock Drive into their vehicle and proceeded to drive away from the address. ย Both victims were able to jump out of the car at different points and seek help.ย  Both injured parties were transported via ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries.

Deputies, with the assistance of many other local agencies, searched surrounding areas for the suspect and the vehicle.ย  At approximately 1:30 am, a man called dispatch, stating he had crashed his vehicle in Delta County.ย  Upon arrival, the Delta County Sheriffโ€™s Office identified the male as Scott Lorman, and he was immediately detained.

Lorman was subsequently arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where he is being held on multiple felony counts of Assault, Kidnapping, Robbery, and Motor Vehicle Theft, with other charges pending. The circumstances surrounding this incident continue to be investigated.
