On Sunday around 5:45 p.m., authorities patrolling I-70 eastbound near mile marker 58, just outside of DeBeque, made a puzzling discovery. Officers spotted what appeared to be a naked man lying on the roadside, with a woman standing nearby.
When police quickly turned around to investigate, both individuals and their vehicle had mysteriously vanished. Officers checked a nearby gas station in DeBeque, hoping to offer assistance or locate the vehicle, but found no trace of the pair.
