Alcohol Involved in Serious Injury Crash

On November 24, 2024, at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department were dispatched to Cruisers Bar, located at 715 Horizon Drive, for a hit and run crash. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a black Audi sedan, driven by Laci Thames, age 20, hit multiple vehicles while trying to exit the parking lot. When another driver informed Thames of the damage, Thames fled the scene.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., Grand Junction Regional Communications Center received a 911 call of a black Audi that had ran a red light, rolled, and crashed into a shed in the area of 27 ยฝ Road and Patterson. When officers arrived, they discovered Thames trapped in her vehicle. Grand Junction Fire Department extracted Thames and transported her to the hospital with serious bodily injury. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in both crashes.

This is an ongoing investigation and there is no further information at this time.
