Vehicle Pursuit, Wanted Person, I-70 Mesa County

Parks ranger in Highline Lake area attempted to stop a U-haul driven by a wanted person. Ranger claims the driver attempted to hit him with the vehicle as he was eluding. Suspect also ran a stop sign in Loma at over 80 mph. Suspect is currently on I-70 headed eastbound.

Update: State patrol has the suspect in the area of G Road and Arrowest Rd, and the vehicle is attempting to ram their cars.

Update 9:50 a.m.: Police have the suspect boxed in, area between 23 Rd & 24 Rd near I-70, possibly a frontage road.

Update 10:10 a.m.: Police are now in a standoff with the vehicle driver, vehicle is still stopped.

Update 10:25 a.m.: Suspect is in police custody. Police used non-lethal projectiles and suspect is being evaluated by medical.
