Vehicle with possible intoxicated driver crashed into a house on Court Road near Orchard Avenue and 28 Road. Possible injury for a 70 year old female inside the home. Victim has minor to moderate injury. The driver / vehicle has fled the scene. Suspect was located by police on scene. Suspect lives in the area and is known by witnesses. Vehicle also hit a light pole prior to crashing into the home.

Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the 500 block of Court Road for the report of a vehicle vs house on 12/11/24, at approximately 1:30 p.m. Officers arrived on scene and found that a black Ford F250 struck and knocked down a light pole before striking the front of a house, causing significant damage. One occupant of the house suffered minor injuries and was evaluated on scene by the Grand Junction Fire Department. The suspect, identified as Tyler Meaux (age 29), was arrested and charged with the following:
- DUI
- DUI Per Se
- Reckless Endangerment
- Reckless Driving
- Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle
- Operated Vehicle with Unsafe Tires
The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public. There is no further information available at this time.
