Fully involved structure fire at 3 unit apartment building on Colorado Avenue near South 9th Street. Residents appears to be evacuated but not fully verified by fire crews that made entry.

Grand Junction, CO – At 4:44 a.m. this morning, the Grand Junction Fire Department (GJFD) responded to reports of a house fire on the 800 block of Colorado Avenue. Multiple 9-1-1 calls from neighbors reported the building on fire.
GJFD crews arrived swiftly and worked to extinguish the fire, which had spread to multiple apartments within the structure. No injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross assisted five individuals displaced by the fire. The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
