Road Rage Suspect Arrested

On 12/17/24, at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to an assault in the area of N 7th Street and North Avenue. The suspect, a male driving a gray four-door Honda sedan, exited a vehicle and assaulted the driver of another vehicle. The suspect retreated to his vehicle and fled from the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault. Officers were able to identify the suspect with the aid of the public and contacted him by telephone.

The suspect, identified as Michael Snyder (age 34), turned himself into the Grand Junction Police Department on the evening of 12/18/24, where he was arrested and released on a summons for Third Degree Assault.

The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and would like to thank the community for their help in providing information about this incident. The Grand Junction Police Department would like to remind drivers that road rage can escalate quickly, leading to dangerous situations for everyone involved. Aggressive driving not only puts lives at risk but can also result in serious legal consequences.
