West Middle School Student Hit by Car

From the Grand Junction Police Department:

Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash at the intersection of N 1^st Street and Orchard Avenue on 12/19/24 at approximately 3:00 p.m. A vehicle traveling westbound on Orchard Avenue turned southbound onto N 1^st Street and struck a 13-year-old female pedestrian who was walking in the crosswalk. The juvenile, a West Middle School student, was transported to a local hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department with suspected minor injuries. This crash remains under investigation and there is no further information available at this time.
