Man Arrested For Trafficking Fentanyl in Clifton

An Illinois man was arrested following a traffic stop on Thursday, December 19, 2024.  After observing a traffic violation, an Investigator with the Western Colorado Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near F ¼ Road and I70B at approximately 5:30 am.

Due to inconsistent statements made by the driver, the investigator deployed his trained Narcotics K9. The K9 quickly alerted to the presence of the odor of illegal narcotics.  The subsequent investigation resulted in the seizure of four one-kilogram packs of powdered Fentanyl.

42-year-old Antwan Parker of Montgomery, Illinois, was taken into custody and is being held in the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges: 

  • DIST/MAN/POSS W/INTENT >225G SCH I/II OR >112G METH, HEROIN, KATAMINE, CATHINONE OR > 50MG OF FLUNITRAZIPAM, DF1
  • SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES IMPORT >14G SCH I/II OR 7G METH, HEROIN, KATAMINE, CATHINONE OR > 10MG OF FLUNITRAZEPAM, DF1
