Upon arrival, firefighters observed guests evacuating the building and quickly proceeded to the affected floor via the stairwell. Crews encountered heavy smoke on the seventh floor and immediately located the room of origin.

Upon investigation, firefighters confirmed that the buildingโ€™s sprinkler system had successfully extinguished the fire before it could spread. Crews conducted a thorough assessment to ensure no fire had extended to adjacent rooms and used ventilation fans to clear smoke from the building.

Once the scene was deemed safe, GJFD released the building back to hotel personnel. No injuries were reported. The origin and cause are under investigation.
