Police Arrest Male for Stalking

On February 23, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the area of 28 ¼ Road and Elm Avenue for reports of harassment. When officers arrived, they discovered that a male, later identified as Justin McNeil, aged 39, had repeatedly called and texted the victim and attempted to contact the victim at their residence. Earlier in the day, McNeil followed the victim home and attempted to damage property. McNeil fled the scene before officers arrived and a warrant was written for his arrest.

On February 24, 2025, at approximately 8:10 a.m., McNeil was located in the area of Ligrani Lane and Rimrock Avenue and taken into custody without incident. He was remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following and other related charges:

  • Stalking
  • False Imprisonment
  • Domestic Violence

This was a domestic incident, and the Grand Junction Police Department believes there is no danger to the community. There is no further information available.
