Shooting at a residence on 32 Road just south of F 1/2 Road. Caller claims a gun “fell” and accidently shot a male victim in the abdomen. Caller started CPR, victim is not breathing. Law enforcement is on scene and has taken over CPR. Police are in possession of the 9mm handgun involved. Male victim was transported to the hospital. Sheriff has requested the investigator unit to the scene.
Update 9:30 p.m: Sheriff is speaking with the coroner at the hospital. An involved female is at the Sheriff’s office for questioning.

GRAND JUNCTION, CO – At 8 p.m. on March 16, 2025, Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on the 600 block of 32 Road in Grand Junction, Colorado. Upon arrival, Deputies found one male with a gunshot wound. The male was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances of the incident and will provide updates as appropriate.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death and identity of the victim.
