Body of a possibly 40 year old male found under a tree 100 yards off the Riverfront Trail south of Riverside Parkway and 24 1/4 Road. Caller reported that the body has obvious signs of decomposition. Police are on scene investigating.
Update: After initial investigation, Grand Junction Police Department does not suspect foul play at this time.ย

On March 18, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., first responders with the Grand Junction Police Department and the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the area of the Riverfront Trail and Blue Heron Lake for reports of a deceased male. The male was declared deceased on scene shortly after first responders arrived. This incident is under investigation and there is no further information at this time.
