Disturbance, Orchard Ave & N 1st St

Disturbance involving a mentally ill female that pulled a knife on another individual at a residence on North 1st Street just north of Orchard Avenue.

From the Grand Junction Police Department:

On April 17, 2025, at approximately 5:40 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a woman threatening a neighbor with a knife in the 2100 block of N 1st Street.

The neighbor was able to safely disarm the woman prior to officers arriving on scene. Officers took the woman, identified as 47-year-old Erika Salvador, into custody without further incident. She was arrested on charges of felony menacing.

The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public. This incident remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
