Man Arrested for Warrants After Vehicle Pursuit

GRAND JUNCTION, CO – On April 28, 2025 at approximately 12:30, Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office were made aware of an individual with multiple warrants on the 400 Block of Tracy Drive.

Members of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit, Patrol Deputies, and Troopers from the Colorado State Patrol in the area were able to positively identify Adam Inskeep (42) of Grand Junction, Colorado driving a vehicle through the area.

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit attempted to safely stop the vehicle, but the vehicle eluded, leading to a pursuit. A Mesa County Sheriff’s Deputy successfully performed a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver to stop the fleeing vehicle at the intersection of 30 3/4 Road and Gunnison Avenue. 

Inskeep was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following:

Charges:

  • Vehicular Eluding, Felony 5
  • Vehicular Eluding, Felony 5
  • Reckless Endangerment, Misdemeanor 2
  • Aggravated Driving with a Revoked License/Habitual Offender/Commits DUI, DWAI, Eluding, Reckless Driving, Misdemeanor 1
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer, Misdemeanor 2
  • Resisting Arrest, Misdemeanor 2
  • Speeding (Construction Zone( 20-24 MPH Over Limit 

Warrants:

  • Department of Corrections Warrant – Felony Eluding, No Bond
  • Colorado State Patrol/Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Warrant – Felony Eluding, $20,000 Cash Only Bond
  • Garfield County Warrant – Traffic Offenses and Eluding, $3,000 Bond

No injuries were sustained by the suspect, law enforcement officers, or civilians during this incident.
