This is in the same area as a previous incident yesterday: Domestic Disturbance, B 1/2 Rd & 27 1/2 Rd Orchard Mesa
Possible shooting in the area of B 1/2 Road and 27 1/2 Road in Orchard Mesa. Caller reported hearing multiple shots. Police on scene located a male and female suspects, with the female possibly holding a gun in her hand. The suspects are refusing to follow police commands.
Update: Police have the male suspect in custody. The female suspect returned to a residence on the property and is possibly pointing a handgun at police from inside. The SWAT team is now on scene.
Update: Shots were likely fired into the air. There are no victims or any injuries.

On June 8, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 27 ยฝ Road and B ยฝ Road.
Officers responded to a residence on the back side of the 200 block of 27 ยฝ Road and learned an adult female experiencing a mental crisis had possibly pointed a gun and discharged it in the direction of an adult male in the house. Upon arrival, officers located the male and female engaged in a physical altercation in the yard. The female pointed the gun towards officers and retreated into the house. No shots were fired by officers at any time during the incident.
The Grand Junction Police Department Co-Responder Team responded to establish communication with the female. After several hours, the female stopped communication, and officers entered the home to perform a safety sweep and found the female unconscious but breathing inside the residence. The female was transported to the hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department. There were no injuries sustained in this incident.
This incident occurred in the same area as a previous report of shots fired on June 7, 2025, in which no evidence of shots fired, or criminal activity was found. At this time, it is unknown whether the two incidents are related.
The Grand Junction Police Department remains committed to prioritizing the safety of the community. This incident remains under investigation at this time, and charges are pending. There is no additional information available at this time.
