GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The City of Grand Junction has announced the relaunch of the Almost Home Guide, a community rental listing resource now managed by the City’s Housing Division. Previously operated by Grand Valley Catholic Outreach, the guide is being integrated into the City’s At Home in GJ Landlord and Tenant Program.

The Almost Home Guide is a free, biweekly publication aimed at helping Mesa County residents find available rental units. Listings, which include properties currently or soon-to-be available within 45 days, will be updated on the City’s website on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Listings are removed after two weeks unless resubmitted, and there are no fees for property owners to participate.

The submission form for rental listings is set to launch in mid-July, with the first updated guide expected in early August. The City is also developing a GIS-integrated version of the guide, which will feature an interactive map in future updates.

As part of the broader At Home in GJ program, derived from the Grand Junction Housing Strategies, the initiative includes a voluntary rental registry, landlord incentives, and tenant education workshops. The program aims to reduce rent burdens, improve rental market accessibility, maintain affordability, attract new landlords, and promote safe, stable housing options.

The City will host a Landlord Info Session on August 7, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Fire Administration Building (625 Ute Ave.), and a Rent Smart class for community members on July 23, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Garden Village Community Room (2601 Belford Ave.). Registration is required for both events.
