Mesa County, in collaboration with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the City of Grand Junction, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Grand Valley Transit (GVT) Fleet Maintenance Facility on July 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

The facility, located at the City of Grand Junction Fleet and Municipal Services Campus at 2553 Riverside Parkway, was constructed with $7.4 million in federal funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, contributing to the total project cost of $8.2 million. Spanning 19,400 square feet, the pre-engineered metal building features eight maintenance bays, a wash bay, office space, parts storage, and a farebox repair room.

Designed by D2C Architecture and built by Buildings by Design, the facility will support the upkeep of GVT buses. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and celebrate this milestone for local transit infrastructure.
