GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — On July 22, 2025, at around 8:45 a.m., the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious item at the Grand Junction Regional Airport, located at 2828 Walker Field Drive.
An airport employee discovered a PVC pipe under a desk near one of the gates, prompting a temporary evacuation of the area as a precaution. Authorities determined the item was empty and posed no threat. Airport operations have since returned to normal.
The police department continues to investigate the incident, emphasizing that community safety is their top priority.
