GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The City of Grand Junction, in collaboration with the Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture (GJCAC) and The Theatre Project, will host Theatre in the Park on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at 10 a.m.
This free, family-friendly event will take place at the marble courts in Lincoln Park, featuring a unique performance of ‘Seusspeare: Romeo and Juliet’s Restaurant Wars’ by The Theatre Project. The play reimagines the Shakespearean classic in Dr. Seuss-style rhyme with modern references for added entertainment.
Attendees can enjoy snacks from a local food truck and are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back lawn chairs for comfort. The GJCAC aims to enrich the community through cultural events like this, introducing families to the arts in an engaging way.
The Theatre Project, a nonprofit community theatre company, focuses on fostering creativity and a lifelong appreciation for the arts through education and performance opportunities.
