
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — On July 23, 2025, Grand Junction Police Department officers responded to a report of felony menacing near Lakeside Drive and Lakeside Way around 2:00 p.m. Dispatchers received information about an intoxicated man, later identified as Lane Davis, 39, swinging a knife and yelling at construction workers, allegedly attempting to stab one of them.
Upon arrival, officers found Davis still armed with the knife and uncooperative with commands. A taser was deployed to subdue him. Davis was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on charges including Felony Menacing, Obstruction, Child Abuse, and other related offenses.
No injuries were reported, and authorities have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active.
