The Orchard Mesa Pool, located at 2736 Unaweep Ave, will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, July 30, for essential repairs. The closure is expected to be short, with the pool anticipated to reopen the same day and resume normal operations.
The repair work involves replacing an aged impeller connected to a recently installed boiler unit at the facility. City staff and contractors will handle the replacement. Updates on the pool’s status and operating hours will be shared via the City Parks and Recreation social media platforms.
The pool, built in 1983 through a partnership between Mesa County, the City, and School District #51, is currently operated by the City, with the School District owning the land and building. For more details on city aquatics facilities, fees, and hours, visit gjpr.org/Aquatics.
