On August 7, 2025, at around 6:30 a.m., Grand Junction Police Department officers responded to a report of felony menacing in the 2800 block of North Avenue. A female suspect was reported to be swinging a gun and pointing it at individuals. Officers arrived on the scene quickly, located the suspect, and secured the weapon, which was later identified as a replica BB gun.
The suspect, identified as Diana Digiallonardo, 37, was taken into custody without incident. She was transported to a hospital for evaluation before being booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on charges of Felony Menacing and Disorderly Conduct. Authorities have stated that this is believed to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community.ย
