
Firefighters report multiple modular storage units on fire at the Halliburton property north of the park near Corn Lake, with three modular units fully involved. A large column of black smoke can be seen above Clifton.
Update: Fire crews have the fire contained to the storage units and are working to extinguish.
GRAND JUNCTION, CO โ A fire broke out at approximately 2:32 p.m. on 365 32 Road, prompting a response from the Grand Junction Fire Department (GJFD) and the Clifton Fire Protection District. Initially reported as a possible motor vehicle fire, crews arrived to find multiple modular buildings engulfed in flames.
Firefighters established a water supply from a nearby hydrant and deployed a long supply line to combat the blaze. Two modular buildings were completely destroyed, while three others sustained significant damage.
Fortunately, all structures were unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported. The Grand Junction Police Department and Mesa County Sheriffโs Office provided support with scene safety and traffic control. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
