Firefighters responded to a structure fire at Applewood Estates around 4 a.m. Monday morning. Engine 21 on scene reports a single-wide trailer with active fire showing from the middle. Occupants reported the fire started in a bathroom and may involve insulation. Law enforcement on scene observed flames from the roof. Radio traffic indicates fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
Fire crews also assisted State Patrol with cutting a metal fence to help free a vehicle involved in a crash around the same time. A truck crashed into a metal fence at Applewood Mobile Park at the same time crews were leaving the structure fire.
