
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The City of Grand Junction, in partnership with the Skateboard Alliance, will host the inaugural Wild West Skate Fest on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Emerson Park. This event aims to celebrate western Colorado’s vibrant skateboarding culture, bringing together skateboarders of all skill levels, families, local businesses, and community members.
The fest will feature friendly competitions across beginner, intermediate, and amateur/professional divisions, with prizes awarded in each category. Beyond the competitions, attendees can enjoy live music, food trucks, a live mural creation by a visiting artist, and booths from local businesses. The event kicks off with on-site registration from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by the first competition at noon. Pre-registration is available now and closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 11.
Organizers emphasize that the Wild West Skate Fest is designed to be an inclusive space for skateboarders and spectators alike, highlighting the sport’s role as both a competitive activity and a tight-knit community.
