GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — In an effort to enhance public safety and protect park resources, the City of Grand Junction will install gates at the west and east entrances of Canyon View Park.
Starting September 2, 2025, these gates will be locked each evening at closing time and reopened at 5 a.m. daily. The park’s operating hours remain unchanged, with summer hours from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. (March 2 to October 31) and winter hours from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. (November 1 to March 1).
As a designated sports park, Canyon View operates one hour later than standard city park hours. All amenities will remain accessible during posted hours, ensuring the park continues to be a safe and welcoming space for families, athletes, and visitors.
