Single motorcycle accident happened around 4:30 a.m. near 33 Rd & E 1/4 Rd. The initial 911 caller reported a motorcycle had flipped, leaving the female rider face down, unconscious, and not breathing. CPR instructions were given until responders arrived. Crews on scene reported the rider had a faint pulse and applied a tourniquet while continuing lifesaving efforts, however, authorities indicated the crash is likely fatal. Both lanes of E 1/4 Rd were shut down during the response.
Update: Mesa County Coroner was on scene. Crash location is just east of 33 Road on E 1/4 Road around a bend on a hill. Motorcycle appears to have been traveling westbound.
