From the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
MESA COUNTY, CO – At approximately 9:40 a.m., Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a deceased adult body in the Colorado River, near 21 Road and the Riverfront Trail – Monument View. The circumstances of the death remain under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will release the cause of death and identity of the deceased after appropriate next of kin notifications have been made.
