Police are out on a traffic hazard with a down light pole near the Wingstop on North Avenue east of 28 1/4 Road. A vehicle crashed into the pole and traffic signs and fled the area. Officers are possibly out with the involved vehicle in the U-haul parking lot.
Update: Officers contacted the driver a short distance from the crash and took her into custody. Sara Sargent (age 27) was arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where she was charged with the following:
- Violation of Protection Order
- DUI
- No Insurance in Possession
- Driving Under Restraint
- Reckless Driving
- Failed to Notify Police of Accident
