A passenger train came very close to striking a truck involved in a vehicle accident near 36 1/2 Road and G Road in Palisade. Juveniles crashed their truck off the road just west of the G road railroad crossing, with the truck coming to a rest only feet from the tracks. Union Pacific has halted train traffic until the vehicle is removed. Police have the westbound lane of Front Street closed at G Road.
Update: All lanes are back open. Radio traffic did not indicate any injuries.
