
CLIFTON, Colo. — October 28, 2025 — Firefighters knocked down a garage fire on the 600 block of Colony Road early Tuesday, preventing the blaze from spreading, according to the Clifton Fire Protection District (CFPD).
Crews were dispatched at about 3:44 a.m. for reports of a house fire. On arrival, firefighters found flames on the side of the home’s garage. An offensive fire attack was initiated, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
All residents and pets evacuated safely. No civilian, firefighter, or animal injuries were reported.
CFPD thanked the Grand Junction Fire Department for assistance with suppression efforts and the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office for support with traffic control. Information about the fire’s cause was not immediately released.
