Fruita Man Arrested After Reported Assault

FRUITA, Colo. — October 27, 2025 — Fruita Police arrested a 30-year-old man Monday evening after witnesses reported seeing a male force a woman into a vehicle and strike her multiple times in the 1000 block of East Harrison Avenue.

Officers were dispatched around 6:00 p.m. and quickly gathered suspect information that led them to a nearby residence. Following an investigation, officers developed probable cause and arrested Anthony Emery.

  • 18-3-303(2)(a)(I) — False Imprisonment — Two counts, Felony 5
  • 18-3-204(1)(a) — Third Degree Assault — One count, Misdemeanor 1
  • 18-3-206 — Menacing — One count, Misdemeanor 1
  • 18-9-111(1)(a) — Harassment — One count, Misdemeanor 1
  • 18-6-800.3 — Domestic Violence — One count, Misdemeanor 1

Emery was taken into custody and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility.
