
Grand Junction, CO – A 21-year-old man was arrested early on October 31, 2025, following a felony menacing incident in the 2200 block of Hall Avenue, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
Officers responded to a 911 call around 2:25 a.m. where the reporting party stated a male suspect had threatened to shoot him and his daughter before fleeing in a vehicle. Police located the suspect’s vehicle and conducted a high-risk stop, taking him into custody without incident.
The suspect, identified as Christian Brunswick, was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. He had been in a vehicle with a female he was involved with in a relationship. A verbal dispute escalated, during which Brunswick prevented the woman from exiting the vehicle, drove erratically while in possession of a firearm, and threatened to kill her and her family.
The woman eventually escaped safely, after which Brunswick struck a nearby fence and pole before leaving the area. Officers later stopped him, recovered two firearms from the vehicle, and arrested him.

Brunswick was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
– 2nd Degree Kidnapping
– Menacing
– Reckless Endangerment
– Harassment
– Criminal Mischief
– DUI
– Prohibited Use of a Weapon
– Domestic Violence
