Fruita police were in a short foot pursuit with a suspect in the area of West Pabor Avenue and North Coulson Street. The suspect was involved in a hit-and-run accident near J 2/10 Road and 19 Road. Police attempted to stop the vehicle when the suspect fled on foot. Officers have the suspect safely in custody.
