
MESA COUNTY, Colo. — Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people on November 10, 2025, in two separate traffic stops that led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, crack cocaine, counterfeit fentanyl pills, and drug paraphernalia, according to a sheriff’s office release.
First stop — Clifton (approx. 3:00 a.m., 3200 block of I-70 Business Loop)
Deputies contacted the driver, David Miller, 37, of Grand Junction, and passenger Melanie Sale, 38, of Grand Junction. During the stop, deputies located methamphetamine, a prescription pill bottle not belonging to either suspect, and various paraphernalia items.

- Unlawful distribution with intent of a schedule I/II drug — Felony 1
- Possession of a schedule I/II drug less than 4 grams — Misdemeanor 1
- Possession of drug paraphernalia — Petty Offense
- Failed to use turn signal, weaving, driving under restraint — Traffic Violation
- Active warrant

- Unlawful distribution with intent of a schedule I/II drug — Felony 1
- Possession of a schedule I/II drug less than 4 grams — Misdemeanor 1
- Possession of drug paraphernalia — Petty Offense
Second stop (approx. 10:15 p.m., 500 block of 29 1/2 Road)
Deputies contacted a vehicle driven by a female and visually identified passenger Gary Harvey, 50, of Grand Junction. On or near Harvey’s possession, deputies say they found suspected crack cocaine, methamphetamine, counterfeit fentanyl pills, and paraphernalia.
