Search Warrant on 33 Rd Nets Arrests, Stolen Property, Firearm

CLIFTON, Colo. — Deputies say six “theft from auto” cases reported between Sunday, Nov. 9, and Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, within a two-mile radius in Clifton have been resolved following a search warrant and multiple arrests.

At 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 11, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators served a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of 33 Road in Clifton. Investigators had been alerted that a victim’s stolen credit cards were used at a local convenience store; surveillance video from the store helped identify a suspect as Elaine Walker, 37, of Clifton. During the warrant service, deputies identified a second suspect, Mikel Smith, 22, of Grand Junction, and recovered property reported stolen from several vehicles, including a firearm.

In total, four people were jailed—two theft suspects and two others on outstanding warrants.

  • Ashleigh Holloway, 34, of Grand Junction — Warrant: Unauthorized Absence from Community Corrections
  • Damien Martinez, 43, of Clifton — Failure to Appear Warrant; Fugitive Other Jurisdiction Warrant
