Fire and EMS crews responded around 12:25 a.m. to Grand Manor Apartments on Orchard Avenue for a report that a bathroom fan malfunctioned and the bathroom roof briefly caught fire. Crews conducted an interior investigation of the attic space above the top-floor apartment and reported a light haze of smoke but no obvious extension of fire. Radio traffic indicated the incident may be isolated to the failed fan and no injuries were reported.
