Vehicle Accident, Patterson Rd & 29 Rd

Two vehicle accident near the intersection of Patterson Road and 29 Road. Radio traffic indicated a pickup truck struck a white passenger car. Callers reported a male lying on the ground, at least one vehicle smoking and a possible trapped occupant. A vehicle possibly continued to hit a utility pole. An off-duty nurse reporting a male with a head laceration is conscious and breathing. Fire crews are using extrication tools to rescue a trapped occupant from a vehicle. Eastbound lanes of Patterson are blocked by the crash.

Two people are being transported to the hospital. One with moderate injuries, another with serious life-threatening injuries. The crash has cut power to the traffic lights at the intersection

Update: A truck traveling eastbound on Patterson Road at a high rate of speed collided with a passenger car turning southbound onto 29 Road. The driver of the passenger car was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was transported with serious bodily injuries.
