A fire alarm at CMU Kayenta Hall was reported just after 4:20 a.m.; Grand Junction Fire and EMS units were dispatched to 2520 Blichmann Avenue. Multiple engines, trucks, a battalion chief and ambulances were sent to the scene per scanner traffic.
Responders reported smoke in the building’s main corridors but no flames and no smoke inside offices. Truck crews were assigned to the roof to help locate the source and are checking HVAC units. Crews are also working to ventilate smoke from the building.
