Increased Fees for Birth and Death Certificates Starting 2026

Mesa County, Colorado, announced that fees for birth and death certificates will rise effective January 1, 2026. The cost for the first copy will increase from $20 to $25, while additional copies will go from $13 to $20.

The fee schedule is set statewide by the Colorado Office of the State Registrar of Vital Statistics. Residents can obtain official certificates through Mesa County Public Health, with details available on their website.
