The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed in a vehicle–pedestrian collision at 7th Street and Patterson Road as Gary Descheene, 63, of Grand Junction.
According to a media release, Descheene was a pedestrian who entered the roadway near the intersection on Thursday night, December 11, when he was struck by an automobile. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Coroner’s Office said an autopsy has been completed and determined that Descheene’s death was related to injuries he sustained in the incident. The case remains under investigation.
