
The Grand Junction Police Department has arrested a 74-year-old driver in connection with an August crash that killed a motorcyclist at 29 Road and Four Corners Drive.
According to police, officers responded to the collision on August 20, 2025, after a southbound truck turning east onto Four Corners Drive struck a northbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash.
After completing a comprehensive investigation, officers determined there was probable cause to charge the truck’s driver, identified as Michael Harris, 74. On December 17, 2025, Harris was arrested and released on a summons for the following offenses:
- Careless Driving Causing Death
- Careless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Injury to a Vulnerable Road User
