Mesa County deputies were involved in a vehicle pursuit and contact with a gray GMC truck near White Cross Lane and Waverly Lane around 7:06 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and pursued it through the shopping center behind the Maverik in Clifton.
Deputies reported the truck attempted to ram units. Units requested a taser, and reported they deployed multiple non-lethal gas rounds at the suspect inside the truck. Law enforcement was able to pin the vehicle and take the suspect into custody.
Update: The sheriff’s office stated that no deputies were injured during the incident. The suspect denied any injuries and was transported directly to the Mesa County Detention Center.
