Fire and EMS units and Colorado State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash at Broadway and Glacier Drive. The vehicle was reported as a white Toyota Corolla with airbags deployed. Dispatchers said the passenger and driver sounded highly intoxicated. The driver also threatened he might flee from law enforcement, among other various threats and statements.
Troopers arrived and had the driver at gunpoint, who was then safely taken into custody. The passenger of the vehicle had fled the scene before responders arrived. No injuries were reported in radio traffic.
