Structure fire reported at a property on C Road just east of 32 Road. A detached garage caught fire and is fully engulfed, with a deputy on scene reporting 50 foot flames. The fire is spreading to the main residence on the property, as well as fence and surrounding brush. Clifton and Grand Junction Fire units have been dispatched to assist Mesa County Fire Authority.
All residents safely evacuated the garage and home before crews arrived. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze and save the main residence, though it did sustain damage. The detached garage was completely destroyed.
